Maintaining a Reputation

At BAECHTOLD LIMITED we work to maintain a name as a relyable importer, distributor and retailer for high-end watches and jewelry in Thailand. On some occasions, when a product has prematurely failed, when a service has disappointed or when a behavior has been inappropriate, we have learned how fast a long-earned reputation with customers can be undercut. Yet our customers are the ones who bring shortcomings to our attention and help us improve, and customers are the ones who reward professionalism and correctness with more business. And it is for customers that we and our trade partners work to be accountable and consistant in the services and products we provide.

Corporate Responsibility

In addition to serving our cusotmers, our company also aims to have a fair and satisfactory relationship with other groups, in particular with our employees, our suppliers, the authorities in our jurisdiction and with other social partners. We aim to optimize such relationships by adhering to trade, legal, social, fiscal and ethical standards and agreements and to mutual fairness, consideration, honesty and professionalism in our business, and in our financial, human and social relations. Again, when our organization fails, we need to be told, for it is under the eyes of our most demanding customers and partners, and our sharpest critics and auditors that we maintain a committment to a fair, professional and responsible trade in services and products that aspire to be of the highest quality. For at stake is nothing less than our business and our legitimacy in an industry that largely remains based on trust.

Industry Standards

Whenever we trade in products that fall under special regulations, such as e.g. CITES – the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, we fulfill and abide by the requirements set by such authorities, laws and regulations.

We are in the process of integrating into our purchase and sales procedures the principles and standards set by CIBJO – The World Jewellery Confederation.
